Selection Process Explained
The selection process varies by post. Project Engineers (PE01, PE02) must clear a written test followed by interview. Senior Project Engineer (SPE01) faces interview only. Scientific and Technical Assistant posts involve written test and / or interview depending on the grade.
Written Test (For PE01 and PE02 Only)
Project Engineer (PE01) and Project Engineer (PE02) candidates must clear a written test. This assesses your technical knowledge in your engineering discipline (Electronics or Mechanical) and general aptitude. The written test covers relevant subjects from your engineering curriculum. Passing the written test qualifies you for the interview round.
Interview
All candidates face a one-on-one interview. The interview panel assesses your technical skills, project knowledge, work experience (if applicable), communication ability, and suitability for the research environment. For SPE01, the interview is the primary selection method. For Scientific and Technical Assistants, selection may involve a combination of written / trade test and interview depending on the specific grade level.
Merit List & Selection
The final merit list is prepared based on interview performance (and written test scores for engineer posts). SAMEER reserves the right to modify the selection process or conduct additional tests if deemed necessary. Selected candidates will be informed of the results within the timeline mentioned by the organization.
