Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Apprentice 2026

Candidates must meet the specific educational and age criteria as of 31st January 2026.

Educational Qualification

  • For Trade Apprentice (Code 101 & 103): 3 Years B.Sc (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
  • For Technician Apprentice (Code 104, 105 & 107): 3 Years Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, etc.) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Stipend and Benefits

Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices for a period of 12 months (24 months for Code 103 – Boiler). During this training period, apprentices will receive a monthly stipend.

  • Leave: Apprentices are entitled to 32 days of General Leave and 12 days of Casual Leave per year.
