Educational Qualification

Senior Computer Instructor (Pay Level 10):

• M.E. / M.Tech in CS / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / ETE / EIE; OR
• M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology; OR
• MCA / ‘B’ Level / ‘C’ Level certificate; OR
• Any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government.

Basic Computer Instructor (Pay Level 8):

• Graduate + ‘A’ Level (NIELIT) or PGDCA (minimum 1 year); OR
• B.E. / B.Tech in CS / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / EIC / TIE; OR
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology; OR
• BCA from a University established by law in India.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01.01.2027)
• Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male of Rajasthan — 5 years; Female of same categories — 10 years; General Female of Rajasthan — 5 years; Ex-Servicemen up to 50 years; PwBD additional 5 years.
• Secondary Education Department posts get an extra 3 years relaxation (not applicable for Sanskrit Education Department posts as it is a first-time recruitment for that cadre).

What is the Salary for RSSB Computer Instructor 2026?

Pay depends on the cadre — Senior or Basic — and follows the 7th CPC Rajasthan Pay Matrix.

• Basic Computer Instructor (Pay Matrix Level 8): basic Rs 35,400 starting, scale up to Rs 1,12,400 + DA + HRA + other Rajasthan allowances
• Senior Computer Instructor (Pay Matrix Level 10): basic Rs 56,100 starting, scale up to Rs 1,77,500 + DA + HRA + other allowances
• Probation Period: 2 years with fixed monthly remuneration as per Rajasthan state government orders
• Pension: Under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) of the state government

Approximate in-hand for Basic CI after probation: Rs 50,000 – Rs 60,000 per month. Senior CI in-hand crosses Rs 75,000+ after first increment plus DA/HRA additions.

What is the Selection Process for RSSB Computer Instructor 2026?

RSSB conducts a two-paper objective examination followed by document verification and medical examination.

1. Paper-I — General Awareness & Aptitude — 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. Covers Rajasthan Art & Culture, History, Geography, General Science, Current Affairs of Rajasthan, Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability, Numeracy and Data Interpretation.
2. Paper-II — Subject-specific — 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. Covers Pedagogy, Computer Fundamentals, Programming (C/C++/Java/Python/AI/ML/Blockchain), DBMS, Networks, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Web Development.
3. Negative Marking: 1/3 mark is deducted per wrong answer.
4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST).
5. Question Pattern: MCQ with 5 options — candidate must darken the 5th option if not attempting; more than 10% un-attempted leads to disqualification.
6. Document Verification + Medical Examination after written exam.
