DRDO TBRL Paid Internship 2026 — A 6-Month Project Opportunity for Engineering & Science Final-Year Students
Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh — a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence — has invited applications from engineering and M.Sc. Chemistry students for its prestigious Paid Internship Programme starting July 2026. A total of 37 internship seats have been notified across nine disciplines, with a fixed monthly stipend of ₹5,000 and an overall payout of ₹30,000 per student for the full six-month tenure. For final-year students aiming to convert their academic project into real DRDO-certified research experience, this is one of the most rewarding defence sector internship notifications of the year.
The application process is offline (postal submission) and the last date for receipt of applications is 25 May 2026. The internship runs from 01 July 2026 for six months at TBRL’s research range in Ramgarh (Panchkula). If you are pursuing B.E. / B.Tech. in Aerospace, Chemical, CSE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical engineering — or are in the second year of M.Sc. Chemistry — and your CGPA converts to 75% or above with no backlogs, this is a great chance for you. In this article, GovtJobsAlert.in walks you through every detail — vacancy split, eligibility, stipend, selection process, document checklist and step-by-step “how to apply” guide.
