Educational Qualification

For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):

  • Essential: Matriculation (10th class) pass or equivalent from a recognised Board
  • Desirable: Intermediate (12th class) pass

For Driver (Non-Technical):

  • 10th Standard pass from a recognised Board
  • Possession of a valid driving licence for LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) and HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle)
  • Knowledge of motor mechanism — should be able to fix minor defects
  • Minimum 3 years of motor car driving experience after obtaining the valid licence

Age Limit (as on 4 June 2026)

  • Multi Tasking Staff: maximum 25 years
  • Driver (Non-Technical): maximum 27 years

What is the Salary for CSIR NEIST MTS 2026?

The pay structure is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix. Both posts are Group C with full Central Government allowances and benefits.

  • Multi Tasking Staff: Pay Level 1, total emoluments approx. Rs. 33,375/month
  • Driver (Non-Technical): Pay Level 2, total emoluments approx. Rs. 36,700/month

Total emoluments include Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances as per Central Government rules.

Beyond the monthly pay, employees enjoy medical reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Personal Computer Advance, House Building Advance and National Pension System (NPS) coverage. Government accommodation may be provided subject to availability.

What is the Selection Process for CSIR NEIST 2026?
